  2. Your design my be open source and licensed for non-commercial use.
  3. You must publicly publish your project on either Hackaday.io, Hackster.io or Inventables.
  4. Your project must contain, at a minimum, a schematic, a board layout and a Bill of Materials (BOM).
  5. Your project must only use parts that are commonly available through regular distribution channels.
  6. At the end of the contest period, submitted designs will be evaluated by a committee and the winner selected by them.
  7. Depending on demand, the winning design will be submitted to manufacturing for distribution to facilities and personnel on an as needed basis, free of charge.
  8. A submission deadline is still to be determined, but seriously, the sooner the better.

Legal:

There is no official lawyer-proofed legaleze for this contest. I’m putting the funds up myself, simply to encourage the development of touchless thermometer designs, and ideally to manufacture devices that would serve as an alternative to commercial products in an emergency.

By submitting a project, you’re agreeing to be bound by the terms outlined on this page. I must reserve the right to change the legal aspects of this contest at any time with no notice, and those changes will become binding retroactively to the beginning of the contest. Additionally, you grant Daniel Hienzsch and MedXProgress the use of the media files associated with the project to promote your project on this site and on social media, with full attribution back to you.
